NOTICE OF MEETING TO VOTE ON TAX RATE

A tax rate of $0.205164 per $100 valuation has been proposed by the governing body of City of Hunters Creek Village.

The no-new-revenue tax rate is the tax rate for the 2025 tax year that will raise the same amount of property tax revenue for City of Hunters Creek Village from the same properties in both the 2024 tax year and the 2025 tax year.

The voter-approval rate is the highest tax rate that City of Hunters Creek Village may adopt without holding an election to seek voter approval of the rate.

The proposed tax rate is not greater than the no-new-revenue tax rate. This means that City of Hunters Creek Village is not proposing to increase property taxes for the 2025 tax year.

A PUBLIC MEETING TO VOTE ON THE PROPOSED TAX RATE WILL BE HELD ON September 23, 2025 AT 6:00 PM AT 1 Hunters Creek Pl., Houston, TX 77024.

The proposed tax rate is also not greater than the voter-approval tax rate. As a result, City of Hunters Creek Village is not required to hold an election to seek voter approval of the rate. However, you may express your support for or opposition to the proposed tax rate by contacting the members of the City Council of City of Hunters Creek Village at their offices or by attending the public meeting mentioned above.

The City of Hunters Creek Village, Texas, will hold a public hearing at the following day, time and place for the purpose of receiving written or oral comments concerning the proposed budget for fiscal year 2024:

THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE MORE TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR’S BUDGET BY $655,214 OR 10.23% AND OF THAT AMOUNT $103,314 IS TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR.

All interested citizens are encouraged to attend and/or submit comments. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held before the Hunters Creek Village Planning & Zoning Commission on July 8, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., in City Hall at #1 Hunters Creek Place, Hunters Creek Village, Texas, for the purpose of receiving testimony for or against proposed amendments to the City’s Zoning Chapter. The proposed amendments are listed below.

a)         Amend the specific use permit for the Houston Racquet Club to:

  1. remove the decibel limits on music emanating from the Club;
  2. prohibit the playing of music at the Club between the hours of 11:00 pm and 7:00 am; and
  3. require the Club to comply with the noise restrictions applicable to the City’s residential zoning district.

b)         Amend the specific use permit for Hunters Creek Elementary School to allow the installation of Building Identification Signage and operation of a marque sign and an electronic message sign under certain conditions.
